PDM’s negative politics rejected by people: Firdous

SIALKOT: Special Assistant to Punjab Chief Minister on Information and Culture Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Sunday said that the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) is struggling for its political survival and personal gains.

Talking to the reporters during her visit to THQ Civil Hospital in Daska, Firdous said that the PDM wanted to weaken the national institutions for its vested interests, but the people rejected the negative politics of the PDM.

“The people were not ready to listen to the voice of the PDM. The corrupt elements were misleading the people through their rallies and meetings,” she said.

“The Punjab government has launched a revolutionary programme–Insaf Medicine Card–under which modern health services of all diseases are being provided. The programme has ensured an easy access of the best medical facilities to the poor and deserving people.”

Firdous further said the Punjab government has taken the responsibility of protecting lives of the deserving, needy and poor patients. A visible change can be observed in the THQ hospital. “CM Sardar Usman Buzdar is actively working to provide quality healthcare facilities in all rural areas of the province. All institutions are busy in raising the living standard of the people under the vision of the CM. The rural population is also being provided the best medical facilities,” she added.

Earlier, the SAPCM visited the hospital and a shelter home for patients. She went to different wards to meet with the patients and checked the availability of medicines besides performance of doctors and paramedics.

She also distributed the food packages among men and women living in the shelter home after inaugurating a modern conference hall at the hospital.
