PESHAWAR: Sniffer dogs deployed at Bacha Khan Airport in Peshawar to identify COVID-19 cases by sniffing their odour identified another 14 coronavirus-positive travellers arriving from abroad.
166 passengers landed at the airport on a private flight, and their samples were taken for COVID-19 testing. The dogs detected the virus in 14 of the samples.
When the samples were tested, all of them were found Covid-positive, according to airport administration.
Sniffer dogs have also been deployed at the Islamabad Airport to identify Covid-19 patients arriving from abroad.
The specially trained dogs provided by the Pakistan Army to airport authorities after approval of the National Command and Operation Centre.
