Punjgoor is one of the most dangerous cities of Balochistan, Pakistan where the occurrence of criminal activities is at the highest peak. Painfully, several innocent civilians have been killed within a month; their rights for survival seem very hard with facing major violence day by day. The offenders are yet not arrested and it shows a massive failure of the administration of justice.
It indicates that Punjgoor’s police and administration have surrendered before criminals and failed to provide justice to the victimized families who have been crying for justice and peace. There is no governmental FIR. The criminals are roaming freely, and each family is at fearfulness and risk.
The civilians from Punjgoor have been left at the mercy of killers, thieves and robbers. Incidents that occurred in Punjgoor in September include kidnapping and murder. One recent example is the torturing of a five-year-old boy by unidentified motorcyclists, who later on left him injured on the way and fled. The boy was in critical condition and was taken to the Civil Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
On the other hand, a young man namely Saghar Baddani, a resident of Tas (a town in Punjgoor), went for hunting birds. Painfully his dead body was returned to his family. It is the responsibility of the administration and local government to provide protection and safety to its citizens so that they must remain safe and be protected. It is mentioned in the Constitution of Pakistan (1973) where the fundamental rights are given from Article 9 to 28 that the State is responsible for these rights to be secured and protected.
We appeal to the law enforcement authorities to bring the rule of law in motion and perform their legal duties to bring the culture of justice, peace and equality in Punjgoor.
