Bilawal briefed on political situation of Gilgit-Baltistan

Chairman PPP also briefed about upcoming elections in Nowshera Tehsil

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari chaired a meeting of Gilgit-Baltistan executives held here on Saturday during which he was briefed by PPP officials of Gilgit-Baltistan on the political situation in the region.

The meeting ratified the decisions of the Central Executive Committee and Federal Council of the PPP. Chairman PPP was briefed by PPP Gilgit-Baltistan officials on preparations for the long march.

Speaking on the occasion, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that this long march is the voice of the common man of the country. People across the country will come out on February 27 and announce their decision against Imran Khan’s government. The people should be ready to fight against the government that is responsible for inflation and unemployment.

The GB PPP’s leaders present in the meeting included Amjad Advocate, Mehdi Shah, Musa Gilgit, Imran Nadeem, Bashir Ahmed, Ayub Shah, Syed Pir Jalal Shah, Muhammad Ali Shah, Ghaffar Khan, Haji Dilbar Khan, Mirza Hussain, Dr Ali Madad Sher, Dr. Muzaffar, Shehzad Agha, Iqbal Rasool, Hajat Ali, Hussain Ali Rana, Zawar Fida Hussain, Tauqeer Mehdi, Abbas Mousavi, Saifullah, Saeed Aman, Muhammad Tariq, Tariq Aziz, Fida Karim, Wazir Muhammad Khan, Niaz Ali Siam, Syed Haider Shah, Syed Sajid Hussain, Muhammad Hussain, Ghulam Abbas, GM Parvi, Kashif Bonjoi, Wazir Mohammad Yousuf, Mohammad Bashir, Syed Yawar Abbas, Fazal Karim, Sher Akbar Khan, Sahib Khan, Dr Naseem, Mohammad Fida, Muhammad Ali Pathan, Ahsan Ali, Manzoor Hussain, Qasim Shah and Iqbal Dilbar.

Later on Ahad Khattak, who is contesting Tehsil Nazim elections from Nowshera, held a meeting with Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. Chairman PPP was briefed by Ahad Khattak about the upcoming elections in Nowshera Tehsil.

He apprised the Chairman that the Defense Minister Pervez Khattak was defeated from his native village. Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Ahad Khattak also discussed the long march in the meeting. Ahad Khattak assured the Chairman PPP that the people of Nowshera will be in the long march in great numbers.

Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the people will come out from all over Pakistan on February 27 and will hold the PTI government responsible for inflation. The people are coming to take back their rights on 27 February. He said that securing significant votes from every region of KP is a testament to the fact that the PPP has deep roots in the province.

The senior vice president PPP KP, Mohammad Ali Bacha also called on the Chair PPP and discussed preparations concerning the long march on 27 February.
