No financial crisis in Balochistan

The ex-CM of Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan Alyani Balochistan has stated that Balochistan is not facing any financial crisis as around Rs50 billion are still kept in the government treasury and the financial position of Balochistan is quite stable. This remark is shocking since Balochistan is very poor in every shape despite having a big amount in the government treasury.

The province of Balochistan is suffering for fundamental requirements including clean water, power supply, gases, health crisis, educational crisis and many more.

According to the views of Mr Jam Kamal that the Chief Minister Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo might not know the actual amounts in the government treasury as he had only recently joined the government. He said that funds were available even in the last days of his government through which disbursements were made under the heads of PSDP, salary and others.

Mr Alyani said it was the right of the people to know about the available funds as his government had passed the Access to Information Act. Furthermore, it was the responsibility of the finance department and the AG’s office to inform the people of the actual financial position of the provincial government.

The Chief Minister Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo must solve the right problems of the province and must provide the fundamental requirements of the people.
