ISLAMABAD: Parliamentary Secretary of Commerce Aliya Hamza has said that 12 million urea bags have been provided to farmers during the current month to fulfil their needs of fertilizers.
Aliya Hamza said this while speaking on the floor of the National Assembly, which met on Tuesday with Speaker Asad Qaiser in the chair.
Responding to a Calling Attention Notice on the floor of the House, Ms. Hamza said that Pakistan has produced a record urea this year. She further said that the price of urea in Pakistan is six times lower in comparison with the international market.
Meanwhile, six bills were introduced in the National Assembly. These include “The Islamabad Water Conservation Bill, 2022”, “The Acid and Burn Crime Bill, 2022”, “The Constitution (Amendment) Bill, 2022] (Amendment in Article-24-A)”, “The Indecent Advertisement Prohibition (Amendment) Bill, 2022”, “The ICT Tuberculosis (Notification) Bill, 2022” and “The Criminal Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2022.” The chair referred the bills to the standing committee concerned.
The house was later adjourned to meet on Wednesday at 4:00pm.
