Ramzan bazaars become functional in Punjab: Minister

LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Industry and Commerce Mian Aslam Iqbal has said that Ramzan bazaars have become functional across the province.

Talking to various delegations at his office on Thursday, the minister said  that the Punjab government has given a historic Ramzan package of Rs8 billion.

Aslam said that the government is giving a subsidy of Rs4 billion for the supply of subsidised flour to the people. Poultry will be available at Rs10 less per kg and eggs at Rs5 less per dozen. Sugar will be available at Rs10 less per kg less in Ramzan bazaars. He said that agricultural fair price shops have also been set up in Ramzan bazaars.

The minister said that during the holy month, the Ramzan bazaars will be open from 9:00am till Iftar and the best arrangements have been made for the convenience of the consumers in the Ramzan bazaars.
