After becoming the 23rd Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif also became the Patron-in-Chief of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday.
Former prime minister Imran Khan’s picture has been removed from the PCB’s website and office while a picture of new Prime Minister and Patron-in-Chief Mian Shehbaz Sharif has been placed on the website.
According to the amended constitution of 2019, it is at the discretion of the Patron-in-Chief to propose two names for the governing board, one of which is assigned to head the PCB.
It is pertinent to mention that Shehbaz took oath as the country’s new prime minister on Monday while he took charge of the PM Office on Tuesday.
