No flour crisis in KP: clarifies Atif Khan

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Minister for Food Atif Khan has denied the rumours of flour crisis in the province.

In a statement issued on Monday, the provincial food minister said that there is sufficient quantity of wheat flour available in the markets of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Atif Khan asked people not to pay heed to rumours as the government is committed to fulfil the basic needs of its people. He asked the administration to keep a vigilant eye on hoarders of wheat, flour and other edible items.

Meanwhile, KP Minister for Education Shahram Khan Tarakai said that health and education have been the priority areas of the provincial government for the last nine years.

Addressing the concluding ceremony of Inter Schools debate competition in Peshawar on Monday, he said two point six million children are being provided furniture in the schools.

The minister said the recruitment process of twenty-five thousand teachers on merit is also underway.
