Pakistan women’s team defeated Sri Lanka by six wickets comfortably in the first T20I of the three-match series at the Southend club in Karachi.
A complete bowling performance led by debutant Tuba Hassan made the real difference as she bagged the best bowling figures on debut for Pakistan Women in T20I.
Leg-spinner finished with figures of 3/8 in four overs, restricting Sri Lanka to 106/8. The chase was completed in 18.2 overs by the home side.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s limited-overs vice-captain Shadab Khan praised Tuba for his high-quality leg-spin and opined she is the ‘A star in the making’.
The second T20I of the series between both the sides will be played tomorrow, while the final match will take place on May 28.
