Karachi’s, not Islamabad’s home was raided: Umar

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General and former federal minister Asad Umar on Saturday clarified that it was his Karachi’s residence, and not the one in Islamabad, about which he had said had been raided by the police.

Reacting to Islamabad Police’s Friday tweet in which the Force had denied they had carried out a raid on Asad’s home, the PTI leader said that yesterday he was in Karachi and not in Islamabad.

Asad took to twitter yesterday to report that a police mobile van had visited his place.

But the Islamabad inspector general of police’s (IGP) media team, without investigating, issued the rebuttal of the PTI secretary general’s allegation.

Federal Capital police even adopted a threatening tone and said they knew the home addresses of each and every PTI leader.

On Friday, Asad was in Karachi where he was busy electioneering in connection with the by-polls to be held for NA-244.
