LAHORE: A mentally-challenged minor girl was sexually assaulted by an unidentified accused here in Basti Chiragh Shah of the provincial metropolis.
According to details, the police have registered a case against an unidentified man for sexually assaulting a 10-year-old mentally challenged girl – identified as Kiran.
In a complaint to the police, the parents claimed that an unidentified man entered their house and lured the victim – who is also mute – to unknown place. The parents claimed that they were in home at the time of the incident.
The parents said they found out about the incident when the girl returned home. Upon receiving information, the police reached the victim’s home and shifted the girl to nearby hospital for medico-legal formalities.
The police said they have registered a case against the unidentified person while a medical examination will be conducted of the victim.
