Minor rescued week after kidnapping

KANDHKOT: The police claimed to have secured the release of a minor child, kidnapped for ransom and reunited with the family.

According to Kashmore police, three-year-old Zawaar Ali Shah, son of Murad Ali Shah was kidnapped from outside his home in Daya Mohallah in the limits of Kandhkot A Section Police on October 7. The police said that Kashmore District Police Officer Zubair Nazeer Ahmed Sheikh constituted a special team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Yaar Mohammad Rind and Inspector Gul Mohammad Mahar. The team investigated the case on scientific lines and reached to the culprits. Acting of a tip-off, the police cordoned off Bello Dhoro area near Raslardar Police Station and raided a hideout where the kidnapped minor was kept. The police secured safe release of the minor. The kidnappers, however, made good their escape from the scene.

Comment on the recovery of the minor, Kashmore Police Senior Superintendent Zubair Nazeer Sheikh said it was tireless efforts of the team which was succeeded in rescuing the minor from the kidnappers.

To a question, he replied that during exchange of firing between police and kidnappers, they managed to flee the scene while leaving behind the abductee.

It is worthy to be mentioned here that with effective measures taken by the police, the law and order situation in the district has improved manifold and people have expressed their satisfaction over the performance the law enforcement agencies.
