Centcom chief should be told clearly of India-sponsored terrorism in Pakistan: Mazari

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senior Vice President Dr Shireen Mazari said Friday that US Central Command (Centcom) chief General Michael Erik Kurilla should be told clearly that its strategic ally India is the major sponsor of terrorism in Pakistan so US should act on this as first confidence building measure (CBM) viz Pak.

Reacting to Centcom chief’s visit to Pakistan-Afghan international border, PTI Senior Vice President, in a statement on Friday, stated: “We now confront a two-front India-US military alliance: QUAD and US, Israel, India.”

She said that the interesting timing of visit and epically being taken to Pak-Afghan international border. Dr. Mazari stated: “With repeated attacks by Afghan security forces on Pakistan forces and civilians Pakistan’s Western border remains destabilised and imported government seems to have no cohesive Afghan policy.”

She raised question: “Is this how it has been planned to bring US military back into Afghanistan and Pakistan by giving them the bases they desperately seek and for which they became part of regime change conspiracy?” “Also let us not forget India’s deep incursions into Afghanistan at all levels over a long period of time,” she added.

Dr. Shireen Mazari said: “What can one say – we have failed our children; terrorism continues from across our international borders and from within; we lost half our country but have learnt no lessons.” State and society increasingly militarized and polarised so unwilling to realise our strength is our people and their diversity, she added.
