RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir on Wednesday visited CMH Rawalpindi where he enquired after the health of officers and jawans injured during operation against terrorists at CTD Complex in Bannu.
According to an Inter-Services Public Relations’ (ISPR) news release on Wednesday, the COAS remained with them for some time and enquired about their well-being.

The army chief appreciated their high spirits and morale and lauded their professionalism during the operation against the terrorists.
Talking to a private media broadcast on Tuesday, Pakistan Army Spokesperson Major General Ahmad Sharif said that security agencies in a successful operation killed 33 terrorists, arrested three whereas seven terrorists surrendered, who were holding out a CTD Compound in Bannu city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The ISPR Director General said that a clearance operation was conducted in the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD). He said that four soldiers embraced martyrdom while 10 others were injured in the gun battle.
During the holdout terrorists sought safe exit to Afghanistan via airway, he said.
Terrorists were present in the CTD office Bannu since Sunday. They were demanding the Pakistani authorities for safe airlift to Afghanistan.
