KP directs preparation of ADP worth Rs124b for FY 2023-24

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has directed the administrative departments to prepare a development program worth Rs124 billion from their own resources for the next financial year, 2023-24.

The Planning and Development (P&D) Department directed administrative departments to prepare proposed ADP of 2023-24 and have send details of allocated funds. The provincial government plans to setup an ADP of Rs100 billion for settled and Rs24 billion for tribal districts.

The P&D documents show that for multi-sector a fund of Rs18.65 billion has been proposed, Rs15.96 billion for roads construction, Rs11.8 billion for health, Rs7.91 billion for tourism, sports and culture, Rs7.25 billion for primary and secondary education, Rs7.19 billion for irrigation, Rs5.98 billion for urban development, Rs3.77 billion for agriculture and livestock, Rs3.71 billion for higher education, Rs2.15 billion for forests, Rs1.54 billion for rehabilitation and resettlement, Rs1.38 billion for energy and power, Rs1.42 billion for municipalities, Rs1.25 billion industries, Rs1.14 billion for interior and Rs1.12 billion has been proposed for law and justice.

Similarly, provincial government has allocated Rs938 million for education, Rs827 million for science and technology, Rs498 million for population welfare, Rs486 million for Auqaf, religious and minority affairs, Rs457 million  for Board of Revenue, Rs366 million for housing, Rs334 million for social welfare,  Rs256 million for public-private partnership, Rs219 million for food, Rs24 million for labour, Rs186 million for information, Rs177 million for establishment and administration, Rs164 million for minerals, Rs116 million for excise and taxation, Rs91 million for finance, Rs76 million for transport, Rs26 million for environment while Rs20 billion for the local governments in settled districts.

The provincial government has also directed the preparation of an ADP worth Rs24 billion for the tribal areas. The details show that Rs5.39 billion have been proposed for road construction, Rs3.70 billion for multi-sector development, Rs2.1 billion for irrigation, Rs2.1 billion for primary and secondary education,  Rs1.52 billion for urban development, Rs1.46 billion for health, Rs1.14 billion for drinking water, Rs1.4 billion for municipalities, Rs878 million for energy and power development, Rs841 million for tourism, sports and culture, Rs696 million for industries, Rs687 million for agriculture and livestock, Rs631 million for education, Rs398 million for forests, Rs380 million for Board of Revenue, Rs246 million for social welfare, Rd289 million for interior, Rs160 million for auqaf, religious and minority affairs, Rs100 million for law and justice, Rs95 million for science and technology,   Rs62 million for relief and rehabilitation, Rs 60 million for mines and minerals, Rs42million for population welfare, Rs34 million for establishment and administration, Rs33 million for information, Rs30 million for excise and taxation, Rs10 million for finance, Rs4 million for food and Rs2.40 billion for local governments.
