I am a primary school teacher and have been employed with the Sindh School Education and Literacy Department for eight years. Although my transfer was done from a school in Dadu to one in Latifabad, Hyderabad, in 2019, my biometric imprint has not been changed despite my repeated submission of the relevant proforma.
Surprisingly, the process is moving smoothly on a daily basis for the newly appointed junior elementary and primary school teachers, but no attention is being paid to teachers like me.
It is the responsibility of the department concerned to change biometrics of a transferred teacher at his/her new place of posting, but that is not what is happening.
The number of transferred women teachers is huge, and they suffer unjustly. One feels disappointed that, unlike Punjab, Sindh has no e-transfer, e-leave and other online facilities for teachers. Sindh surely needs some teacher-friendly measures.
