ISLAMABAD: Education specialist Sania Alam from Pakistan was awarded the prestigious “Brain of the Year” award by the UK’s Brain Trust for her contributions to mental literacy and her promotion of education through super-learning.
The award ceremony, which was held in London’s Soho district, was presided over by Trust Chairman Raymond Keene, an English chess grandmaster.

Previous laureates include Professor Stephen Hawking, an English theoretical physicist, cosmologist, and author.
Alongside this recognition, Alam has received several other awards for her efforts, including the Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s Youth Excellence Award and the Lifetime Achievement Award from US President Joe Biden in 2021.
Her impact on the education world has been significant and she has helped leaders from various organisations and businesses harness the power of super-learning for their success. Her work has gained worldwide recognition and has been featured on the covers of 12 magazines.
Aside from being a renowned educator, Alam is also a member of the Prime Minister’s National Youth Council, which aims to engage young people in policymaking.
