ISLAMABAD: Like elsewhere in the country, “Ghaibana Namaz-e-Janaza” (absentee funeral prayer) of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) ardent and resilient worker Ali Bilal aka Zille Shah, who was tortured to death by fascist Punjab police in custody, was offered in the federal capital, which was attended by huge number of the party leaders and workers.
The PTI leaders and workers vowed that they would neither forget his sacrifice nor would let the criminals involved in his brutal custodial killing unpunished come what may, as Bilal sacrifice would not go in vain.
The PTI Islamabad President MNA Ali Nawaz Awan and PTI senior leader lawyer Dr. Babar Awan, other parties leaders attended the funeral prayers of the martyred PTI worker.
PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the innocent and unarmed Pakistani was brutally killed for his sole fault that he was struggling for the country’s true freedom and democracy.
He said: “Shaheed Ali Bilal is our hero and God willing, this sacrifice will not go in vain.”
PTI Central Secretary General Asad Umar said that PTI was battling against worst power and oppression but vowed that sacrifice of Bilal would yield and Allah Almighty would not let their sacrifices and hard work for their country go in vain.
He said that PTI organizations and workers were standing bravely in these most difficult situations for their just cause to make Pakistan free from the clutches of cabal of crooks.
PTI Senior Vice President Fawad Chaudhry said that the funeral prayers of PTI worker Bilal, who was killed on the order of Mohsin Naqvi, was offered. He said that the blood of this innocent person should not have flowed in this fashion, but the cruel and incompetent ruler did not hesitate to take his life because of their lust of power. However, he vowed that this blood would not go to waste.
Fawad welcomed the United Nations’ demand of free and fair investigation of the police violence against the peaceful workers in Lahore and the death of a worker due to police violence.
He demanded that the murder took place on the orders of Mohsin Naqvi; hence investigation should be initiated from him.
PTI Central Secretary Information Farrukh Habib stated that Ali Bilal was martyred due to police torture. He said that the MS Services Hospital confirmed that the police brought Bilal to the hospital in a dead state.
PTI Senior Leader Sayed Z Bukhari reacted that what happened in Lahore on Wednesday was hard to comprehend. “This caretaker government and the PDM set up have further blood on their hands,” he added.
“Mohsin Naqvi will have a lot to answer for. Democracy in Pakistan is being murdered. Only thing that stands in its way is Imran Khan,” he maintained.
