The area around Zaman Park in Lahore recently presented a picture of a battlefield or a war zone. The opposition and its supporters have brought the area to a standstill, causing serious disturbance to the area residents.
Even on a good day, people in tents roam around like fanatics in what has always been a perfectly residential area. There is total chaos and madness happening around Zaman Park, with people being attacked and injured by party activists.
My mother lives in the area and has suffered a great deal. People present in tents even tried to harass and attack my mother’s car and steal her laptop. These goons created such a nuisance in the area as residents have been virtually captive in their own homes. They cannot go to the park and move around freely without feeling threatened by the presence of party workers, or whoever they are. People have been living in constant fear of what might happen next. Such lawlessness must come to an end.
