ISLAMABAD: Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Ameer Sirajul Haq on Thursday said that all political parties are ready for elections but issue is the date for elections, saying the prevailing uncertainty warrants negotiations among the political parties to end the stalemate.
“Mutual fighting will lead to anarchy, we have to break the speed-breaker of ego, which impeding the dialogue” the JI chief said in a statement issued on Thursday. He said, “Instead of hurry in the matter, talks should be given a chance.”
“Everyone has committed mistakes, the PTI have also realized it,” Sirajul Haq said. “The PTI had itself dissolved the assemblies,” he said.
He said that the Supreme Court should not shoulder the burden and leave the matter to the political parties. “Non-compliance of the Supreme Court verdict will be an insult for the entire nation,” JI chief said.
“Current situation hurting poor the most, we want to save the country and the poor,” he said.
He said that the government has tried to co-opt the Chairman Senate and the Speaker, it is also saying that the dialogue is only solution of the matter.
“The issue has not been out of the control, hopefully it will be decided soon,” he said.
