NIA attaches Kashmiri businessman Zahoor Watali’s properties in IIOJK

SRINAGAR: Pursuing the Israeli model of dislodging the Palestinians from their lands and properties, India continues to confiscate the Kashmiris’ lands and properties and in the latest case its dreaded National Investigation Agency (NIA) attached three immovable properties of Kashmiri businessman Zahoor Ahmad Watali on Monday.

Watali was arrested in 2017 by the brutal agency. The properties are located at Baghatpora Handwara in the Kupwara district of north Kashmir.

The attached properties include land measuring 13.3 Marlas, 8.6 Marlas, and 10.3 Marlas. The NIA officials carried out the attachment this morning, and the public has been informed about it through the erection of “notice of attachment” signs near the land.

Earlier this year, on May 31, the NIA had already attached Watali’s house at Baghat Srinagar near the Gurdwara. This action was taken based on the orders of the special NIA court at Pataila House Courts, New Delhi.
