Deputy Speaker NA directs to end unscheduled loadshedding

ISLAMABAD: National Assembly Deputy Speaker, Zahid Akram Durrani has directed the all power supply companies to end unscheduled loadshedding.

Speaking in the National Assembly on Friday, Chairman Public Accounts Committee (PAC) Noor Alam Khan informed that there was worst loadshedding in the country adding to the miseries of the common man.

He said that Ministers of Water & Power don’t attend the meetings and we have to face maltreatment of the masses due to the negligence of the concerned ministers.

Noor Alam Khan said that prices of per unit of electricity were increasing with each passing day but the countrymen were not provided electricity.

“Whether we came to power for this and whether people of Peshawar, Punjab, Balochistan, Larkana and Sukkur are not Pakistanis,” he questioned.

The chairman PAC said that were not sitting in the house for insolence, if loadshedding was imperative, then its schedule must be announced.

He said that we can’t turn dead ears toward the issue. The prevailing temperature in country ranges between 44 to 48, therefore power supply must be ensured.

Noor Alam said that only ministers attend the budget session, loadshedding, inflation, sui gas provision were out control. There should be no loadshedding from 12pm to 02pm, deputy speaker must give ruling on it, he urged.

Directing the power supply companies to end schedule loadshedding in the country, Deputy Speaker Zahid Akram Durrani asked them to issue the schedule of the power outage.
