PCG seizes narcotics worth Rs28b in Makran

MARKRAN/MULTAN: The Pakistan Coast Guard (PCG) on Monday recovered huge quantity of narcotics valuing billions of rupees during a raid here while the Airport Security Forces (ASF) foiled a bid to smuggle over 2.4 kilogram Ice to Dubai at Multan Airport on Monday.

On a tip-off, the PCG raided an unpopulated house in Kapkapar area of Makran.
During search of the house, narcotics including, 5166 kilogram hashish, 274 kilogram Ice (Crystal methamphetamine) and 53 kilogram Heroin but no arrest could be made.
The recovered narcotics values Rs28,544,290,000 and it was being smuggled to abroad but in time action foiled the bid.
Bid to smuggle 2.4kg Ice (Crystal) to Dubai foiled
In Multan, the Airport Security Forces (ASF) foiled a bid to smuggle over 2.4 kilogram Ice (Crystal methamphetamine) to Dubai and arrested a passenger at Multan Airport on Monday.
The spokesman of ASF said that during search of Rizwan Haider leaving for Dubai at Multan International Airport through private airline flight, 2.433 kilogram heroin worth millions of rupees in international market was recovered.
The recovered Ice was concealed in cliffed clothes, ahram, towels and two waistcoats.
The detainee was handed over to ANF along with recovered narcotics for further investigations.
