KARACHI: A Dubai returned youth died while another was injured when police opened fire at motorcycle riders for not stopping in Manghopir area of Karachi. Protest demonstration was held against the incident.
According to details, settled in Dubai for last 15 years, Hashim had returned to Karachi for his wedding ceremony some one month earlier.
Before return to Dubai, Hashim along with a friend went to mausoleum of Shah Noorani.
On the way, they were signaled to stop by police and upon not stopping police opened fire killing Hashim and leaving another seriously injured.
Heirs of the deceased along with dead body held protest demonstration outside police station.
Eye witnesses said that police mobile present at the scene signaled to stop the motorcyclists but they did not stop and it chased them and opened fire when attempted to flee.
