LAHORE: The 84th meeting of the Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) Board of Directors took place on Friday, chaired by Dr. Saeed Shafqat. The meeting aimed to address several crucial agendas, including the enhancement of monthly fees for students attending PEF partner schools and the introduction of an innovative E-Voucher System.
Under the leadership of Dr. Saeed Shafqat, the board members were warmly welcomed by Manzar Javed Ali, the Managing Director of PEF, who presented the agendas for their consideration. Following in-depth discussions, the Board of Directors reached a unanimous decision to increase the monthly fees for students in different school levels.
Middle-Level School fees will be raised by Rs50, Secondary Level School fees by Rs100, and Higher Secondary Level School fees for those affiliated with Foundation Assisted Schools (FAS), Education Voucher Scheme (EVS), and New School Program (NSP) by Rs200.
Dr. Saeed Shafqat, the hairperson of the Board of Directors, emphasized that the primary objective of the fee increase is to provide financial support to partner schools. He reiterated that this measure would enable partner schools to maintain and enhance the quality of education they offer to their students.
Additionally, the Board of Directors approved the implementation of an E-Voucher System, aimed at modernizing the voucher card process and streamlining payment procedures for PEF partners associated with the Education Voucher Scheme program.
By eliminating the need for physical vouchers, the E-Voucher System is expected to generate significant cost savings and reduce payment delays.
During the meeting, the Board of Directors engaged in comprehensive discussions on various other important matters concerning educational advancement in Punjab.
These deliberations underscore the PEF Board’s commitment to continuously improve educational standards and create an environment conducive to the holistic development of students.
