Dolphin Police official booked for ‘sexually assaulting’ a pregnant woman

ISLAMABAD:  An official of Dolphin Police Force Islamabad has been booked by Islamabad Police for allegedly sexually assaulting a pregnant woman.

She alleged that the police official lured her in the name of providing legal assistance from police against her husband tortured the victim woman, informed sources told Pakistan Today on Saturday.

A case has been registered with Police Station Noon under section 376 of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) against Zeeshan, a cop in Dolphin Force, in complaint of the victim (J), they said.

According to the sources, Ms J appeared before PS Noon officials and stated that she had left her house after having a quarrel with her husband Imran Ameer on July 18, 2023 at 3:20pm. She added she was going to PS Tarnol for lodging a complaint against her husband when a man namely Zeeshan met with her and offered her a lift.

“Zeeshan took me to his flat at Jhangi Syedan instead of bringing me at PS Tarnol and  raped me forcefully,” she said, adding that she repeatedly requested the accused not to assault her sexually because she is pregnant but the accused did not listen to her hue and cry.

The victim lady asked the police to file case and to arrest accused so he may be brought to justice. Police has registered case against rapist and began investigation.

Also, Secretariat police have booked a man on multiple charges for storming into office of his wife, a grade 18 officer in Federal Public Service Commission) and hurling threats of dire consequences, the sources said.

The accused had been identified as Tauseef Ahmed.

According to sources, Shumaila Zubair, a grade 18 officer working in the FPSC Islamabad, lodged a complaint with PS Secretariat that she had married with Tauseef Ahmed, a resident of Dhoke Syedan Rawalpindi but recently her relations with hubby had deteriorated. She added that she is also pursuing her legal remedies with regards to dissolution of marriage and ancillary matters.

The applicant said that her husband barged into her office on July 20, 2023 at 1pm despite the resistance on part of security deployed in the building and physically assaulted and harassed her.

She alleged that the accused, Tasueef Ahmed, created unrest during office hours and eroded her professional credibility due to his violent behaviour. The victim appealed to police to register a case against accused and to arrest him.

Police have registered a case against accused under sections 352/353/509/506 and 354 of PPC and began investigation, sources said. Police are carrying out raids to arrest the accused, they said.
