LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday made Civil Judge Asim Hafeez, the husband of the main accused in Rizwana torture case, as Officer on Special Duty (OSD).
The Lahore High Court (LHC) chief justice issued order and the registrar also issued a notification in this regard, posting the civil judge as OSD in Rawalpindi.
Asim Hafeez was directed to take charge in Rawalpindi before August 19 next.
It is to be noted here that Civil Judge Asim Hafeez had been summoned by a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) in Rizwana torture case on August 15 last.
The judge, however, did not show up before the JIT.
The Rizwana torture case came to light on July 24 last. The mother of the 14-year-old housemaid had accused the judge’s wife of torture.
