Cash-strapped, fuel-deficient PIA cancels another 18 flights

ISLAMABAD: The cash-strapped Pakistan International Airlines has cancelled another 18 domestic and international flights due to the non-availability of fuel on Friday.

The bulk of canceled flights include 14 flights going to and coming from Karachi. Besides, several flights are facing extraordinary delays.

Two flights PK 308 and PK 368 from Islamabad to Karachi were cancelled.

Flights PK 319 and PK 369 from Islamabad to Karachi were also cancelled.

Seven flights from Islamabad to Dammam, Muscat, Lahore, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, and a flight from Quetta to Karachi were cancelled.

Four flights from Islamabad to Sukkur and Quetta were cancelled.

Flight PK 743 from Karachi to Madinah is delayed by 6 hours and 20 minutes.

Flight PK 735 from Islamabad to Jeddah which was scheduled to take off at 11 am is expected to be delayed by 14 hours.

The flight from Multan to Madinah will depart at 12 noon with a delay of 4 hours and 25 minutes.
