ISLAMABAD: An Anti-Terrorism Court Islamabad on Wednesday has issued perpetual arrest warrants for 10 Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders, including former ministers Murad Saeed, Umar Ayub Khan, Ali Amin Gandapur and Shahbaz Gill.
According to media reports, the court issued the warrants in a case related to the attack and vandalism on the Islamabad Judicial Complex in 2022. The accused have been absent from court despite being summoned, and the court has declared them proclaimed offenders.
The court has ordered that the accused be arrested and brought to court whenever they are seen.
The PTI leaders have denied the charges against them and have accused the government of political persecution.
Additionally, the district and sessions courts Islamabad has also issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shahbaz Gill in the sedition case.
Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra heard the case on Wednesday and directed the SHO to arrest the proclaimed offender and produce him before the court.
