Business community donates funds over Rs7.8 million for orphan children

PESHAWAR: Under the platform of the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), the business community of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa donated funds over Rs7.8 million for orphan children of the renowned institute, SOS Children Village Pakistan, KP.

According to details, SOS Children Village Pakistan Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chairman Justice (r) Qalandar Ali Khan and founder of Aziz Jan Institute of Learning and leading industrialist of the KP, Senator Mohsin Aziz arranged an awareness session at the Sarhad Chamber for the ‘Kafalat’ of orphan children, which presided over the SCCI president Fuad Ishaq, said in
a press release issued here on Sunday.

On the occasion, the chamber senior vice president Sanaullah Khan, vice president Ijaz Khan Afridi, former presidents Riaz Arsahd, Haji Muhammad Asif, Malik Niaz Ahmad, former vice president Abidullah Yousafzai, executive member Qurtul Ain, and Ihsanullah, Ghulam Bilal Javed, Javed Ahmad, Saddar Gul, Fazl e Wahid, Ishtiaq Muhammad along with people belonging to industries and trade were present.

Fuad Ishaq while speaking during the awareness session expressed satisfaction and happiness over the Kafalat to orphan children along with education, health and other facilities provided by SOS Children Village Pakistan KP.

He said the business community has highly appreciated the work of the SOS Children Village Pakistan KP, as it is doing the wellbeing of orphan children, is very commendable.
Members of the business community during the awareness session generously and wholeheartedly donated funds and took ‘Kafalat’ of orphan children.

On the occasion, Fuad Ishaq handed over a cheque over Rs1.2 million for Kafalat of seven orphan children while businessmen forum leader and noted industrialist former senator Ilyas Ahmad Bilour, Sabir Sethi, former president SCCI Malik Niaz Ahmad, senro vice president Sanaullah Khan, Hazrat Umar announced Kafalat of one and one orphan whereas former president Riaz Arshad, Asim Rehman and Shakirul Haq guardianship for 10 orphan children. Ghulam Bilal Javed announced to donate funds of Rs100,000.

During the awareness session, the announcement was made for a technical training program for orphan children on behalf of Senator Nauman Wazir, while Senator Mohsin Aziz announced to provide all required machinery and equipment in this regard.

Senator Mohsin Aziz, who is founder of Aziz Jan Institute of Learning and leading businessman/industrialist and SOS children village Pakistan KP, Chairman Qalandar Ali Khan praised and thanked the SCCI president Fuad Ishaq and businessmen for making generous pledges for orphan children.

Earlier, the SOS Children Village Pakistan KP Director Kaukab Batool and Assistant Director Zahir Shah gave a detailed presentation regarding facilities, providing to orphan children in the institute and its performance in an elaborate manner.
