Three terrorists killed, arms seized, in D.I Khan, Waziristan IBOs: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: At least three terrorists were killed, arms and ammunition recovered during separate intelligence based operations (IBOs) in Dera Ismail Khan and South Waziristan, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Tuesday. Security personnel martyred in North Waziristan IED blast.

According to military’s media wing, the security forces in an intelligence tip-off regarding presence of extremists conducted operation in Kulachi area of Dera Ismail Khan. Two terrorists were killed in the operation.

On the other hand, one terrorist was killed when security forces conducted operation against extremists in Kot Azam area of South Waziristan.

The security forces seized weapons and ammunition in both intelligence based operations, ISPR said.

One security personnel embraced martyrdom when an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) exploded in Gharyoum area of North Waziristan district.

Sanitization operations were being carried out to eliminate any terrorists present in the area.

The ISPR reaffirmed Pakistan’s determination to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country.
