Court re-issues non-bailable arrest warrant for Maryam Aurangzeb

LAHORE: A Lahore anti-terrorism court has re-issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for PML-N leader Maryam Aurangzeb in a case related to a provocative speech she allegedly made.

During the previous hearing, Aurangzeb failed to appear before Judge Abhar Gul, prompting the court to issue the warrant. The court also directed PML-N leader Mian Javed Latif and other accused persons to appear at the next hearing on December 9.

The case against Aurangzeb and other League leaders was registered at the Green Town police station. The court has sought a reply from the prosecution on Aurangzeb’s plea for acquittal.
