Imran to remain PTI Chairman, confirms Khosa

ISLAMABAD: PTI Chairman Imran Khan will remain the party head, his lawyer Sardar Latif Khosa confirmed after a meeting with Khan at Adiala Jail on Wednesday.

Sardar Latif Khosa told reporters after the meeting that there had been a misunderstanding regarding Khan’s position in the party and that he would continue to lead the PTI. He also said that Khan had denied the existence of any “minus one” formula within the party.

The lawyer further stated that Khan’s bail application and that of Bushra Bibi had been extended till December 6. He also said that the jail trial had not yet begun and that the notification regarding the trial might be ineffective.

Khosa added that Khan had spoken bluntly during their meeting and had denied any involvement in the Al-Qadir Trust case or the Toshakhana scandal. He also said that Khan had asked him to join the PTI.

“Imran Khan has asked me to join PTI today. As the nation and the party need you, I will consult my friends and family regarding joining PTI,” Khosa said.
