Many years back, an advertisement was regularly aired on television showing a polio-affected child. It had such a dramatic effect on the viewers that in my town, mothers used to wait for the morning to get polio drops administered to their children. Unfortunately, after some big wigs considered it repulsive, the advertisement was shelved on their directions. The authorities concerned would do well to consider finding that advertisement and putting it back on air in the larger public interest, for it had a broader appeal on the viewers.
