Many Pakistanis are boycotting international brands these days, particularly the ones that support Israel. Other than being a politically correct step, the current boycott is the perfect opportunity for local brands and small businesses to amplify their products. We need alternatives for products that are being boycotted, and if we can manage to increase the demand for local products, the economy will greatly benefit from this shift. Local brands allow us to celebrate our roots and our culture, and promote community empowerment. Let us make the most of this opportunity to fuel our innovation and work towards building quality products that can compete with international brands, and allow the country to prosper while promoting patriotism and national pride.
