Rail traffic suspended after train derailment in Jahanian

KHANEWAL: A number of bogies of a freight train derailed near Marzipura Railway Station in Jahanian near Khanewal suspending rail traffic on Wednesday.

The freight train was going to Karachi from Lahore when five of its goods car went off the track, causing severe damage to the railway line.

Rescue services could not be launched on time causing suspension of rail service on the track.

Due to suspension of both up and down rail traffic, passengers demanded of the authorities concerned to restore the track as soon as possible.

However, there is great possibility that the trains will be delayed.
