Electronic voting

It is truly embarrassing that in today’s digital age, Pakistan had a general election based on an outdated, inefficient and problematic manual process that was vulnerable to rigging. The best solution is to shift the existing traditional manual ballot system to an online/electronic voting process by utilising the relevant technology. Online voting will save time of the voters and of the administration alike, as there will be no need of counting the ballot papers manually. The problem of delayed results will also be solved. However, it should be done with a consensus among all political parties in the interest of the people of Pakistan and democracy.
