Three abducted persons rescued from Dharki, Tangwani

DHARKI: Police have rescued three abducted persons during two different targeted operations against kidnappers and robbers in Dharki and Tangwani, reported on Friday.

According to police, two abducted brothers were rescued from Ladhar Bello during ongoing operation against robbers in Kacha area.

The two kidnapped brothers, Zohoor Ahmed and Akhbi Ahmed, were kidnapped by robbers a day ago, police said.

Police said that the robbers were shifting the hostages from one place to another while police teams were present in the raw area with modern weapons on a tip-off.

During the exchange of fire, the kidnappers fled after seeing the encirclement, police said.

The police took the hostages into custody and brought them safely to the police station, the police spokesperson said.

After necessary operations, both brothers who were recovered were handed over to their families.

Meanwhile, Tangwani Police rescued a hostage during a successful operation after fierce exchange of fire between dacoits and police.

Police said that the rescued person Named Ijaz Soomro, resident of Sukkur was kidnaped a month ago on the pretense of marriage.

Heavy armored vehicles of Tangwani Police and Police Mobile AP are participating in operation, police said.
