Every year, various organisations and individuals make Iftar arrangements for the general public. They establish their stalls or camps along roads and streets to facilitate the passers-by. Two such huge camps are organised at the main Numaish Chowrangi in Karachi that seriously affect traffic flow in the evening. Many commuters are unable to reach their homes before Iftar time. There is a dire need to shift the camps to the ground lying vacant opposite the Mazar-i-Quaid. This will facilitate smooth flow of traffic.
The district administration and police must take steps to address this issue urgently so that people may get to their homes before Iftar time daily.
