Armed assailants gun down 3 workers, injure a child in Shikarpur

SHIKARPUR: Armed assailants launched a deadly assault on laborers toiling on the land, claiming three lives, including those of two women, and leaving a child injured in Shikarpur.

According to police, the perpetrators, armed with sophisticated weaponry, unleashed a sudden and indiscriminate barrage of gunfire, catching the workers off guard and offering them no chance to defend themselves.

Prompt response from law enforcement saw a heavy police contingent swiftly reaching the scene, facilitating the transfer of the injured and deceased to medical facilities. Authorities revealed that the attack stems from a longstanding blood feud between the Bhiu and Marfani clans in the Jagan area, prompting ongoing raids to apprehend the culprits responsible for the brazen act of violence.

Distraught relatives of the victims recounted the harrowing ordeal, vehemently asserting their innocence and disavowing any involvement in the underlying conflict. Urging swift justice, the grieving families have called upon the Supreme Court of Pakistan to intervene decisively, ensuring the apprehension and prosecution of those responsible for the heinous attack.
