Cleanliness drive

Our religion has put special emphasis on cleanliness, calling it ‘half the faith’. However, our government schools — from their restrooms to the classrooms — portray a sorry state of affairs. The students and the faculty have to put up with the consequence of such an unhealthy environment. Public washrooms anywhere in the country have the same lack of cleanliness about them. Even the washrooms in mosques are often not as clean as they should be for the faithfuls. The government and its various relevant agencies should pay attention to the matter. What the country needs is a nationwide cleanliness drive.
