Driving licence fee soar as Islamabad administration announces steep hike

ISLAMABAD: In a recent announcement, the Islamabad administration has revealed a substantial increase in fees for driving learner permits, licences, and renewals.

As per the issued notification, the escalated driving licence fees in Islamabad will take effect immediately.

The fee for a six-month driving learner permit has surged from Rs349 to Rs1,000.

Additionally, non-professional licence fees have been raised from Rs1,800 to Rs3,000.

Professional licence fees (both for LTV and HTV) have experienced a notable hike, skyrocketing from Rs2,100 to Rs10,000.

Furthermore, the fees for a digital driving licence card have climbed to Rs2,000, with renewal costs fixed at Rs2,000, and a three-year renewal set at Rs3,000.

According to the notification, restoration fees for a suspended licence have surged to Rs20,000.
