The decision to declare an education emergency in the country deserves to be appreciated. While it would be a good step to bring out-of-school children to schools, those at the helm of affairs would do well to find out root cause of the issue as well. Trying to improve a system without understanding the causes afflicting it will only make the effort futile. As I see it, hyperinflation is one of the main reasons that is forcing families to keep their children away from what happens to be their basic right.
