Gandapur voices concern over KP’s exclusion from federal development plan

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has expressed significant concern in a letter to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif about the omission of 91 provincial development projects from the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP).

In his letter, Gandapur described the Planning Committee’s decision to exclude these projects as deeply disappointing.

He highlighted that such a move contravenes the commitments made in the meetings of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) and the National Economic Council (NEC), where there was a unanimous agreement on the priority to complete ongoing projects.

The Chief Minister emphasised that this decision not only undermines previous agreements but also aggravates the sense of deprivation in the province.

He urged the Prime Minister to reconsider the exclusion to ensure equitable development across all regions.
