PTI calls unilateral policy change towards India disastrous, unacceptable

  • Says nation won’t permit Sharifs to compromise on Pakistan’s principled policy for ‘commercial, family interests’

ISLAMABAD: While reacting to the Sharif brothers’ congratulatory messages to the newly-elected Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) termed any unilateral change in Pakistan’s policy towards India as disastrous and unacceptable to the nation.

PTI spokesperson said that the nation would not permit the Sharifs to compromise on Pakistan’s principled policy with regard to India for their ‘commercial interests and family-oriented interests.’

He said that they would not allow an unelected and unauthorized leader of the ruling party to compromise on the state interests and national dignity for his personal liking and love for Modi.

PTI Spokesperson stated that this person as the prime minister had always cultivated personal or imperial interests on Israel and India, contrary to the overall aspirations of the nation.

He recalled that last time, while attending Modi’s swearing-in ceremony, this person completely ignored the Hurriyat leadership and broke the Muslim tradition of holding meeting with them.

The PTI spokesperson said this time around, Modi did not invite him or his Prime Minister brother, but both of them were dying to congratulate him while completely ignoring the unconstitutional occupation of Hindutva government on Kashmiris.

He went on to say that the extremist, racist and bigoted person was not ready to accept even one Muslim in his cabinet, adding that they would not allow a group of unelected, unrepresented and mandate thieves to tarnish Pakistan’s dignity at the cost of their personal and family business interests.

PTI Spokesperson said that PTI was not in favor of permanent tension with India, however, it was not possible to ignore the Hindutva government’s fascist agenda and mal-treatment with minorities especially Muslims and its war crimes in Kashmir.

He urged that relations with countries around the world, including India, must be built on the foundations of equality, national self-reliance and national dignity, which was clearly reflected from Imran Khan’s famous catchphrases “Absolutely Not”.

PTI Spokesman stated that after the regime change, puppet rule was engaged in irresponsible tampering with foreign policy which lacked public support.

He said that Imran Khan and his party were guardians of national interests and public aspirations especially with regard to Pakistan’s policy towards Israel and India.

PTI Spokesperson made it clear that they would strongly resist any attempt of adventure by mandate thieves regarding sensitive issues like Kashmir and Palestine.
