Prince William raised eyebrows with a covert trip to MI6 under enigmatic circumstances.
Reports suggest that the Prince of Wales convened with the United Kingdom’s Secret Intelligence Service, tasked with safeguarding the nation from international threats, last Thursday.
The press was only informed of the visit after it occurred, through a notation in the Court Circular, the official daily record of royal activities.
The log entry briefly stated, “The Prince of Wales this afternoon visited the Secret Intelligence Service,” without elaborating on the details.
The future King of England also undertook a similar engagement in 2022, and previously, he visited the MI6 headquarters in London with his wife, Kate Middleton, in 2012.
In 2019, he dedicated nearly a month to working alongside MI5, MI6, and GCHQ to deepen his understanding of the UK’s security and intelligence operations.
At that time, William remarked, “These agencies consist of individuals from ordinary backgrounds who perform exceptional tasks to ensure our security.”
“They operate covertly, often unable to disclose their work or the pressures they endure to their families and friends,” he continued.
