SARAROOGH: In a bold move to address prolonged electricity shortages, MNA Zubair Khan Wazir and his supporters on Sunday took over the Jandula Grid Station in Upper Waziristan, forcibly restoring power to the area.
This action was in response to the severe 22-hour daily load shedding that the residents of Sararoogh have been enduring.
During the incident, MNA Wazir forcefully entered the grid station and manually activated the power supply, providing immediate relief with a 12-hour continuous power service to Upper Waziristan.
He declared a new power distribution schedule, ensuring 12 hours of electricity for both FR Jandula and Upper Waziristan.
The event was captured on video and rapidly spread across social media platforms, showing MNA Wazir alongside his supporters at the grid station. In the footage, he is seen pressing a button to reactivate the Sararoogh feeder and announcing, “Today, we begin a structured 12-hour load shedding schedule for FR Jandula and Upper Waziristan. My team will maintain a continuous supply here at the Jandula Grid Station.”
MNA Wazir assured the public of uninterrupted power availability under his supervision, with his team stationed at the grid station to oversee the implementation of the new schedule. The video concludes with his supporters applauding the initiative, signaling community support for his direct intervention.
