Cricket team ‘surgery’: Wahab Riaz angry after being sacked as senior manager

Former Senior Manager of the Pakistan Cricket Team Wahab Riaz on Wednesday rejected allegations of exerting influence and arbitrariness in team selection, terming them as ‘baseless’.

It is pertinent to note PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi removed Wahab Riaz from both portfolios — Senior Manager and Member of the Selection Committee.

He claimed that no pressure was put on the selection of the team and questioned how one person’s vote could dominate six people (members).

Wahab Riaz emphasized: “Minutes of everything and meetings are on record.”

“I will give my full reaction in this regard this evening,” Wahab Riaz said.
