Saheen Afridi to receive some very good news soon

Pakistani fast bowler Shaheen Afridi is eagerly awaiting the arrival of his first child, which will soon make Shahid Afridi a grandfather. Head Coach Jason Gillespie shared that Shaheen might miss the upcoming Test match against Bangladesh due to this special moment. Gillespie mentioned, “The baby is expected in a few weeks, and if Shaheen wants to be with his wife for the birth, the team fully supports giving him some time off.”

In Shaheen’s absence, Shan Masood will step in as Captain for the Test team. Meanwhile, Babar Azam has been spotted training with the team in Lahore, gearing up for the upcoming series. Bangladesh is scheduled to tour Pakistan in the third week of August, marking an important event in the cricketing calendar.

The first Test will be held in Rawalpindi from August 21 to 25, followed by the second Test in Karachi from August 30 to September 3. These matches are crucial as they contribute to the World Test Championship, with Bangladesh participating in two Tests during their tour.

As the team prepares for this series, fans are eagerly anticipating both the cricket action and the joyous news of Shaheen Afridi becoming a father. The upcoming matches promise excitement, especially with the added anticipation surrounding Shaheen’s upcoming milestone.
